I. General Overview:
The Vice President of Marketing and Sales is responsible for managing all aspects of the Marketing and Sales functions for Eastern Connection.
II. Responsibilities: A. Marketing - Developing marketing and service policies, programs and systems to support strategic direction.
- Aligning business plans with organizational objectives.
- Directing implementation and execution of marketing and service policies and practices.
- Ensuring marketing communications are coordinated, supporting marketing plan objectives and meeting organizational expenditure requirements in conjuction with Sales.
- Providing leadership and supporting the design, development and implementation of products and service lines.
- Managing marketing service department including development and distribution of all marketing materials.
- Setting pricing strategies and introduce new products.
- Managing annual reviews, annual salary increases and performance management for all direct reports.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs.
B. Sales - Develops annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.
- Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and computer analyses.
- Facilitate weekly sales meetings.
- Recruit, train and nurture account executives and other Eastern Connection customer focused employees.
- Institute, motivate and measure targeted sales programs.
- Working with sales and management team to develop, implement, adjust and measure the company's sales programs.
- Working with VP of Operations and Operations Managers to eliminate bad business.
- Working the Customer Service department to develop and measure workflow efficiencies designed to improve service to customer.
- Managing commission plans, base salaries and performance management for all direct Sales reports.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned to meet business needs.
III. Qualifications/Skills: - Masters Degree in business management, marketing or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of previous management experience.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written.
- Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills.
