November 2008 – Eastern Connection, the largest Regional Express Overnight Parcel Carrier on the East Coast, is participating in this holiday season’s Adopt-a-Family program, sponsored by the Salvation Army. The company is collecting donations internally throughout the holiday season, and will be purchasing gift cards and clothes with the donated funds for the family EC is sponsoring. This is the second year that EC has participated in this particular program, and anticipates exceeding the amount of donations gathered in 2007, despite the current tough economic times. Eastern Connection, based in Woburn, Mass., with 16 locations, is the largest Regional Express Overnight Parcel Carrier on the East Coast covering over 5,000 zip codes. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary, the company is open 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Services include Priority Overnight, Ground Delivery, Same-Day Rapid Response, Medical Logistics, Logistics & Warehousing, Trucking and Expedited Mail.
