Berluti Elected to Boston University's Board of Overseers

Boston, Mass. - Jim Berluti, co-founder, president, and CEO of Eastern Connection - the largest regional express parcel service on the East Coast - was recently elected to Boston University's Board of Overseers by the Boston University Board of Trustees. The Board of Overseers is an advisory body dedicated to supporting and advancing the mission of Boston University. Members are selected based on their expertise, vision, and ability to assist in fundraising, and willingness to participate in the life of the university.


Berluti graduated from Boston University in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. Prior to founding Eastern Connection in 1983, Berluti was the New England sales manager for Sky Courier International, a Reston, Virginia-based courier service. In 1995, Berluti was the keynote speaker at the courier industry's largest conference, sponsored by Courier Magazine, and in 1996, he was a featured speaker at Inc. World in Boston, Mass.
A native of the Boston area, Berluti lives in Westwood, Mass., with his wife, Carolyn, and four children: Nicholas, Alexandra, James, and Rachel. Boston University is the fourth-largest independent university in the United States, with an enrollment of more than 29,000 students in its 17 schools and colleges.


Eastern Connection, founded in 1983, is the largest regional express parcel service on the East Coast. Based in Woburn, Mass., it is open 7 days a week and 365 days a year.
